Entering Indonesia during the COVID-19 Pandemic

It’s a new beginning and while there are still some precautionary measures for travellers wanting to come to the Island of the Gods, there are no restrictions as to where you are from—citizens from all countries can travel to Bali—and there is no longer quarantine!

Please read the information below carefully.

Visas

The Indonesian Government now allows International travelers from 75 countries to enter Bali with Visa on Arrival (VoA) at IDR 500,000. It is valid for 30 days and can be extended to another 30 days only.

The 75 countries are:

Visa Exemption Arrangement (VEA) for tourism purposes now available for free to passport holders from 9 Asean Countries listed below. Only valid for 30 days and cannot be extended.

What you need to know :

  • COVID recovery certificate now accepted- conditions apply view more.
  • PCR test on arrival will only apply to those that show symptoms or have a temperature of 37.5 of higher during the health monitoring on arrival
  • Quarantine in a CHSE hotel/resort/villa still applies to international arrivals who test positive or are not fully vaccinated.
  • For international arrivals who are resident in Indonesia ( both Indonesian passport holders and foreign passport holders) who have not been able to get vaccinated or have received the first dose of vaccine at least 14 days before departure, are required to quarantine for 5 x 24 hours in a CHSE hotel/villa/resort.
  • Health insurance with specific COVID coverage is NO longer required for international travelers
  • Proof of vaccination still required or exemption or recovery certificate
  • eHAC NO longer required for international travelers but still required for domestic travel.
  • Issues with Peduli Lindungi – airport ground staff will assist, just ensure you have signed up and downloaded the app on your phone before arriving in Bali.

Departure procedure from Bali

  • Airlines/Authorities/Next Destination/Final Country MAY require a negative PCR Swab Test upon check-in at DPS Airport.
  • PCR Swab Test for departure is always conducted in the morning and the result will be received by WHATSAPP or email in the evening on the same day. It is recommened to do the test 1 day prior to departure.
