An Odalan is a significant religious ceremony in Bali. It is a vibrant celebration held to honor and appease the deities of Hindu temples known as "Pura" in Balinese culture.

During an Odalan, temples are beautifully adorned with colorful decorations, intricate ornaments, and traditional offerings. The ceremonies involve prayers, chanting, music, dance performances, and processions by the local community.

Each temple has its own specific Odalan day, and on Saturday 20 May, we had our Odalan at #OneworldAyurvedaTegallalang. On the same day, we also celebrated Saraswati Day—a day dedicated to the Hindu goddess of knowledge and arts, Dewi Saraswati🪷

Netra Tarpana is a traditional Ayurvedic treatment

Netra Tarpana is a traditional Ayurvedic treatment that is performed as part of a Panchakarma to address eye-related issues.⁠

During the treatment, warm medicated ghee is held in place around the eyes using a flour dough ring. The patient then opens their eyes and blinks slowly to allow the medicated ghee to enter their eyes. This process is repeated several times with fresh ghee for each application.⁠
